Garrett Quinn Sabatino spent six years running crews for a regional van line out of Fort Worth before he’d had enough of the pricing games — the low quote on the phone that turned into a different number once the truck was loaded and the customer had no real option left. Former customers kept calling him directly, asking him to handle their next move off the books, because they trusted him more than the company whose logo was on the truck. In 2015 he put his own initials on the door instead: GQS Movers, one standard, quote it once, quote it straight, and the number doesn’t move on move day.
Eleven years later that standard hasn’t changed, even though the company around it has grown. GQS Movers now runs five trucks and nine people out of our office at 2915 S Westmoreland Rd in Dallas — no subcontractors, no day-labor rentals off a hiring app the morning of your move. Priscilla Nguyen has run the office since 2017 and keeps the schedule straight. Dominic Alvarado has handled estimates and dispatch since 2019, and he’s usually the one who walks you through your quote. Crew chiefs Wesley Broussard and Ariana Mott lead the two teams that actually load and drive the trucks.
We’re a real, licensed Texas moving company — not a service that farms your information out to whichever carrier bids lowest. Garrett still reviews the schedule every morning and still rides along on the occasional job, mostly because he likes to see for himself that the standard he set in 2015 is the one his crews are still running on.
